Boricua College is the first post-secondary educational institution in the United States specifically designed to meet the educational needs of Puerto Ricans and other Spanish-speaking people. The College enrolls 1,200 full-time students in degree programs leading to the Associate in Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts, and Master of Arts and Master of Science degrees. Fields of study include Childhood Education, Human Services, Business Administration, Liberal Arts and Sciences and Inter-American Studies. The College employs one of the largest concentrations of Latino bilingual professionals in the City of New York.

CCNY Adult and Continuing Education (ACE) offers classes to Northern Manhattan residents. Beginning Spring 2005 they will offer courses in Spanish; training to local businesses in partnership with local community organizations in Inwood and Washington Heights; and the Global Trade and Export Studies Program, which trains individuals for the Custom Broker license exam and for positions in the import/export industry.
