Help Save Five-Day Public Library Service

Write your elected officials and urge them to protect funding for books and programs for school children!

If the $5.4 million in proposed funding cuts are enacted for Fiscal Year 2005, library service will be reduced to four days a week for the first time since the fiscal crisis of the 1970s. The New York Public Library has already absorbed a staggering $16.4 million cut since Fiscal Year 2003.
