Contribute Photos to the Gallery
Community members are invited to contribute images to
the Photo Gallery. The process is fairly simple and automated.
Note: Contributors must be members
of the Inwood or Washington Heights communities, or former community members
who would like to share their photos of when they were growing up or living
here. Photographs must be tasteful and not obscene — this
is a family Web site!
Step 1: Register for an Account
- On the main Gallery page, click on the link
labeled “Register.”
- In the pop-up window, type in your desired username,
your full
name, and
your e-mail address, and click on the button labeled “Create.”
- You will receive an e-mail message with instructions
on how to complete the registration process and log into the Gallery system.
Step 2: Create a Password for Your Account
- Click on the link provided in the registration confirmation e-mail message
to go to the password creation page.
- Enter your desired password twice.
- Press the button labeled “Save” to
save your new password information and login to the Gallery.
- Write down your username and password in a safe place to login in the
future.
Step 3: Create a Photo Album
- Once logged in, click on the link labeled “New Album” to
create a new album. An untitled album will be created.
- Rename the album by selecting “Rename Album” from the “Admin
Options” pull-down menu.
- Add photos to your new album by selecting “Add Photo” (to
add just one) or “Add Photos” (to add up to
10 photos at a time) from the pull-down
menu.
- To change the album Title (different from the
album name), go to the main Gallery page, and click on the link labeled “Change
Title.”
- To add an album description, on the main Gallery page, click on the link labeled “Edit Description.”
Step 4: Explore the Gallery
System
- Leave all your fears behind. Don’t worry about breaking the system — this
is highly unlikely.
- Click around to find out what all the features
of the gallery system are.
